Once upon a time in Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, there lived a young wizard named Severus Snape who had just graduated from school. He was known to be one of the most talented students at Hogwarts and was often praised by professors for his exceptional skills. However, despite being highly skilled, he always felt like an outsider due to his dark past which included serving as a Death Eater during Voldemort's reign.

One day, while walking through the halls of Hogwarts, Severus came across a portrait of himself painted by a famous artist. The portrait depicted him wearing a black suit and tie along with a black shirt underneath it. His eyes were piercing and intense, giving off a sense of power and authority.

As soon as Severus saw this portrait, he knew that something wasn't right about it. It seemed too perfect, almost unrealistic. But then again, maybe it was because he hadn't seen any portraits of himself before.

After all, he didn't have many friends among the other students since they couldn't understand why someone like him would choose to study magic instead of joining forces against Lord Voldemort. Despite feeling uneasy about the portrait, Severus decided to take it home with him so that he could hang it up in his room. As he walked away from the portrait, however, he noticed that it began to move slightly towards him.

At first, he thought nothing of it but when it started to follow him down the hallway, he became alarmed. He quickly ran back into the Great Hall where everyone else was gathered around eating their lunches. When asked what happened, Severus told them about seeing the strange moving portrait.

They laughed at him thinking he must have been imagining things until another student mentioned having seen the same thing earlier that morning. The next day, Severus went straight to Professor Dumbledore's office to report what had happened. To his surprise, the Headmaster believed him and ordered the portrait removed immediately.

Unfortunately, no one could figure out how to do it without damaging the wall behind it. That night, Severus dreamed of a mysterious woman dressed in white who appeared before him holding a wand. She spoke to him saying "You are not alone," and then disappeared.

From that moment onwards, Severus felt a newfound strength within himself knowing that he wasn't alone anymore.
