The golden eagle stood proudly atop its perch, surveying the landscape below it. Its sharp eyes scanned the ground for any signs of movement as it waited patiently to strike. Suddenly, a loud crack echoed through the air as one of the bones beneath it gave way underneath its weight.

The eagle's talons dug into the soft earth as it struggled to maintain balance while trying not to disturb the remains of what had once been a living creature. With a quick flick of its beak, the eagle snapped off another piece of flesh from between two ribs before taking flight towards higher grounds where there were more opportunities for hunting. As it soared above the mountain range, it could see other birds circling around looking for their own meals - but this time they would have to compete against each other if they wanted anything left over after such a feast!
