One day, Hugo, a black and white dog with a star on his collar and a golden star on his collar, wandered into town. He had never been to this place before but he knew it would be worth exploring. As he walked around, people stopped him and asked about his stars.

They were curious as to what they meant. "I'm not sure," said Hugo. "But I think my owner gave me these stars because of how brave I am.

" As Hugo continued walking through town, he came across a small shop filled with books. The sign outside read 'The Bookstore'. Curious, Hugo went inside and found himself surrounded by shelves upon shelves of books.

There were so many different genres - from fiction to nonfiction, children's stories to adult novels. Hugo decided to take one book off each shelf and put them back again. This way, no one could tell if he had taken any without paying.

After all, who would notice just one missing book? Suddenly, there was a loud bang! A man ran out of the store shouting at Hugo.

It turned out that someone had stolen some valuable books from the store earlier that morning. Now everyone thought it must have been Hugo. But luckily, the police arrived soon after and arrested the real thief instead.

Hugo left the scene feeling relieved. He had done nothing wrong, even though he didn't know why he had received those special stars. Maybe someday he will find out...
