The summer sun shone brightly as Lucy, a golden retriever puppy, bounded through the lush gardens of her owner's estate. She stopped to sniff at every flower bed, eager to explore all the sights and smells this beautiful place had to offer. Suddenly, she caught sight of something moving behind one of the tall shrubs - it was a rabbit!

With a joyful yelp, she darted towards it, but just before reaching its hiding spot, another rabbit appeared out of nowhere. The two rabbits scurried away into the undergrowth, leaving Lucy confused and disappointed. But then, she spotted a small figure crouching low among the flowers.

It was a little girl named Summer, who beamed up at her with wide eyes. "Hi there! " said Summer, extending her hand to pet Lucy's head.

"I love dogs like you. " Lucy wagged her tail happily and nuzzled against Summer's fingers. They spent the rest of their afternoon exploring the grounds together, chasing each other around and playing hide-and-seek.

When they finally tuckered themselves out, they sat side by side on a bench, watching the sun set over the horizon. As the sky turned pink and orange, Lucy gazed lovingly at Summer, knowing that today would forever remain etched in both of their memories.
