He believed that having these images would inspire younger workers to learn more from those who came before them. Sarah didn't know whether to believe him or not, but she did appreciate his willingness to listen to her concerns. Soon enough, she found herself surrounded by a group of enthusiastic colleagues eager to share stories about their favorite grandparents and great-aunts.

And although some of the tales were a bit outlandish (like the one about the time Grandma almost won a beauty pageant), they all ended with a smile on everyone's face. It turned out that the CEO was right after all - having pictures of older people around really did make everyone feel closer together. In fact, Sarah realized that she felt much happier working alongside such wonderful individuals than she ever could have imagined.
